I need a few moments to vent. Someone tell the "shooters" that just because a play is called for them, they don't have to jack it up. Also, and I'm guessing, when the coach says make something happen, don't come in and fire an off-balance 25 prayer off the bench.

Okay, I'm over it. Played hard to come back. Thought Basden got a couple of BS calls in a row, particularly the 2nd.

Demon and Plav shot us back in to it, just got to recognize where you are sometime in relation to score and time left. Baldwin is a fucking jet (God I wish he shooooot, just a little).

Maybe, maybe not, but why was he even in that position? That's where I run something for Withers and tell him to make something happen. Basden is not my go to guy.

Speaking of Withers, is it just me or does the ball seem to slip out of his hands at least twice a game? Does he have small hands for a guy his size, put lotion on his hands before the game or what?

It's hard to come back from that kind of deficit on the road against a good team. They came out with their half-court defense extended past the 3-point line and we still appeared to be looking to shoot the 3. That will not cut it in CUSA road games either.

I thought Demon played a solid game on offense at the point but he continues to get lost on D and make bonehead fouls after a missed shot.

We turned the ball over a couple of more times than them, they made their FTs and we didn't.

    We still haven't guarded anyone.

3 - 2 is where I thought we would be at this point of the season.

I know there are a lot of Mitchell lovers out there, but if he can't go from baseline to baseline in 3 seconds then he is a completely ineffective offensive player. He has absolutely no idea how to attack a zone or run plays in a set offense. If he wasn't fast, he'd be me. His shot is non-existent.

The 3 is a great weapon, but it can't be your only weapon. It seems to me that the 3 is an easier shot when the ball gets kicked from the inside out. Can't kick it out if it never goes in.

On the plus side, maybe Demon and Plavish will realize that if a defender is right on you it's pretty easy to go around him. I'm afraid that like most good shooters (and they are) they are just fucking in love with the 3 ball. Looks great going in, but you ain't going to swap 20' for layups and be successful much.

But, I think Bama hit shit they won't the rest of the year. Might have something to do with nobody guarding them.
