...since its ALMOST time for the season to start we don't have any info, but I have a topic to discuss.

Julius Hodge said this to a reporter:
"If I'm not voted player of the year (nationally) there should be a recount."

Duke fans, Tar Heel fans... hell 49er fans and everyone else feel free to discuss this.

He'd have to lead the pack to a final 4. Don't see him doing that.

Hodge has always been cocky, so that's no surprise. He had some really great numbers in all categories last year kinda like Josh Howard. If he improves his game from last year, he could easily be ACC player of the year. I doubt he gets much attention for national player of the year unless they win lots of tournament games.

Hodge very well could have some POY numbers but his supporting cast would need to help him get the recognition needed, heisn't that dominate a player above other players in the NCAA. ACC POY isn't out of the question if State surprises everyone and wins more than expected.

However, Herb Sendek is his coach, and I've yet to see him do a good coaching job. ;)

Where is CFBall. I am sure he'll pop in and start comparing Hodge to Michael Jordan.....

Is he guaranteeing wins yet? I guess they need SOMETHING to get excited about in Raleigh.

No thanks, Mr. Hodge. I'll take Jameer Nelson from St. Joe's. That kid has some serious game.
