On Devils Night (a familar night to any Detroiters), Steve Yzerman just scored his 666th career goal.


EDIT: and now he gets tossed out of the game.

For Canes fans, that the equivalent of Ron Francis getting the hook.

EDIT AGAIN: well I guess the Wings were auditioning for a remake of Slapshot tonight. Shanahan and McCarty both left their marks on those "ugly ass" Nashville jerseys.........of course, the Predators got the 2 points.

 

Well sheee-yoot, I'da never knowed that if'n ya hadn't a-told me, duh-huh!



Give us some credit, for the love of Malik--we DO know who Steve frickin' Yzerman is (and have known since well before 2002, thank you).

 

Golly gee, well, good for you.

Based on my experiences at "Raleigh hockey games" (for the record, I've attended Icecaps games at Dorton Arena and Canes games in Greensboro, the ESA and the RBC)..............there are too many people simply thrilled at the novelty of having a professional sports team (it doesn't matter what the game is) in their city.

By why let this discussion be strictly about emotion..........kudos to Coach Maurice for moving Francis off his #1 line AND making use of 4 lines this season.

While both both captains are legitimate HOF candidates, #10 is showing his age so far this season.

Francis - 9 games played, 1 goal, 1 assist, 10 shots on goal
Yzerman - 9 games played, 6 goals, 2 assists, 23 shots on goal

 

I don't know where the hell you sit, but I've met damn few Caniacs that don't know who Steve freaking Yzerman is.

But what do I know, I've only been following the 'Canes in particular since '97 and an STH since the first season in Raleigh.

And people wonder why I hate Wings fans.

 

Wings fans suck almost as bad as Leaf fans.
