I forgot who is the moderator of this forum, but if it isn't too much trouble, could we make this a sticky?

Tuesday night, Ny Rangers vs. Mighty Ducks. YOu've got to be fucking kidding me. Bruins - Canadiens are on the same night.

Disney-Ducks bias on Espn, and the Rangers are always on TV, even though they haven't made the playoffs in at least six years.

What are you talking about? The Rangers have the greatest collection of individual stars in hockey right now, it's exactly what we need to push hockey. Messier, Bure, Kovalev, Lindros, Nedved, Leetch, Holik, Carter, Poti, Kasparitis The NHL is crazy if they miss the chance to showcase this talent. People don't tune in to sports for teams anymore, it's all about star power, and the Rangers have it. Not to mention the human interest story: This will be Mark Messier's last year. Can the greatest captain in team sports pull this collection of stars together for one final cup? The casual fan will get hooked, new fans will be lured in...this team MUST be on tv at least once a week. I assure you US fans are not at all interested in seeing Canadian teams. Rangers vs last years Cinderella team....it's the obvious choice.

Captain, what is Messier going to do once he is retired? Instead of doing corporate speeches, can he make money teaching people how to stare and look like a bad ass?

    Brutal

    :roflmao: :roflmao:

You have GOT to be kidding me. If the casual fan would get a load of those overpaid, overage, over hyped, underacheiving, "who cares if we win, I'm making millions" losers on a regular basis, then said casual fan would never come back. The rag$ have had a top tier payroll for years and only one "purchased" cup since 1940, and no playoffs in the last 6 years. Brutal. Only the 'canes can make the rag$ look good. :D What does it tell you about an organization that fires it's coach midway thru last season and the assist. coach REFUSES the position(he knows all about the "star power"),then the GM can't get anyone else to take the position all summer, so has to coach himself. Let's not forget them being one of the main reasons for a possible lock out next year for helping get player salaries out of whack...9mil per for Holik:saywhat:....

rag$ on TV more than they are now....... :barf:

You're a captain allright....Capt. Hazelwood of the Exxon Valdez. Knock back another one, cap.
