Aren't we the logical leader in hosting an ACC Football Title Game :) ? ? ? I mean, we are more or less the halfway point on the map geography wise, we have Ericcsion Stadium, and we are a neutral field. I think the league will move this around to be fair though . . Perhaps they will award the games to cities on a 2 year basis vs. BIG XII, which has it in a different stadium every year . . .

How many freakin' times do you have to register with Charlotte.Com? Those people keep making it harder and harder to access their site. I hope the ACC championship game is better than Charlotte.com

    i've only registered once.

and it still works. now if only the same signon worked for ALL Knight Ridder sites (KC, Philly, Ohio, Miami, San Jose, Dallas)

    Anyway, the story excerpts:

Swofford said Atlanta, Charlotte, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando and Miami have expressed interest in playing host to the game.

The SEC Championship Game will be played on Dec. 6 this year and has a lock on that weekend each year with the Georgia Dome.

To have its game in the Georgia Dome, the ACC probably would take the first weekend after Thanksgiving, a date which holds conflicts with Georgia-Georgia Tech and other rivalry games involving ACC teams.

    My two cents:

Charlotte would be a nice choice. but weather will always be a factor. NOt talking about bitter cold. Talking about rain.

    Florida sites are obvious choices.

Atlanta has the dome, but scheduling will be a bitch.
