Tough to say with the potential for a Cubs-Yankee or Cubs-Red Sox matchup on deck.

I agree that a Cubs/Red Sox match up would be history making. But with alll the animosity between the Yankees and Red Sox it would be hard to beat.

I agree with 26. I think that whoever wins the Yankees/Sox series will be ripe for a letdown.

Once the Cubs make it (still crossing my fingers), they will have a perfect opportunity to take advantage of that natural letdown.

At least, I'm hoping for something like that. :)

i cannot imagine the world series being a letdown for ANY team.

and though i would like to see the cubs in the world series, something about that fat lady and her singing makes me wonder whether the marlins are done yet.

one thing is for sure ... as much as martinez and ramirez mean to the red sox, their behavior makes a yankee-hater like me reconsider. maybe i can pull for 23 red sox players.

Probably need to wait untill after the WS to make this decision.

i'm normally terrible with predictions ... but those marlins keep hanging around. i would still like to see the cubs win ... hopefully wood can do the job in game 7.

Dammit the Marlins just took the lead in game 7 with the Cubs. Now what would be a let down is if the Marlins and Yankees were in the WS. Neither "cursed" team make the cut.
