I have to say I don't agree with the notion we have not beaten anybody yet. With regards to missing players, we have won all 4 games missing our best linebacker in Mark Fields and we won 2 of the 4 games without Mark Fields and Dan Morgan. The Falcon's did not beat Green Bay in the playoffs last year simply because Michael Vick was the quarterback. Atlanta improved itself in the offseason and expect them to give some teams trouble even before/if Vick returns. As for the Saints, they were considered a playoff contender with a big three of Brooks, Duece and Horn. All three of those guys are still playing. While they have had a slew of injuries, the Saints remain a dangerous team, imho, with those 3 players. Jacksonville is not a good team with or without Jimmy Smith, so that one is a throw in. Let's not forget how many declared the NFC South the toughest division in football.....and we have 3 wins against NFC South teams. So while Atlanta and the Saints are struggling, I don't see them as patsies on anyones schedule.

I could care less about Boomer in general, but he does have a point on some issues. A: with the Vikes they are able to run and in fact have a few weapons in that dept. Moe, Onterio Smith and Michael Bennett is looming. Doug Chapman has not been a factor and Kleinsausser hasnt been that much of a factor running, but a good blocker. They can and do run well and thats one thing that has made this team Very Dangerous. The reason why we are not in class is although we run at will, we don't pass at will. The reason Boomer mentioned the run is because we all know the Vikes can pass. B: I love the Panthers and am glad we are dogs in most games, but in truth who have we beaten? Indi and Tennessee are real tests as both are playoff caliber teams. Tampa is as well, but lets face it we got the win, but they more or less lost that game. So, I wouldnt be so fast to jump on someone for not including the Panthers in with the likes of the Vikes just yet. We are a top 10 team, but a loss to either or both the next two teams would not surprise me at all. I think we matchup better with Tennessee though than Indi and if we can somehow win at Indi we are a top 5 team. Win both and I will officially believe.

I agree with ALL of that Foxman. I have to agree that although Boomer is a big pastey dildo, he is mostly correct about the Panthers. Except for the “TB not being legit when we played them” implication, the bogus “QB is a weak point” statement, and that purely provocative “bound to start losing games” bullshit he pretty much says what most of us here have been saying for a while now. If he’s wrong about that other stuff (& he’s not IMO) then so are most of us.

Stuff like that does'nt bother me at all. It makes for great locker room motivation. Carolina still has to keep proving themselves each week because of recent history (not saying that that analogy is correct) but it's true. Let the nay sayers line up so we can knock them down. It's more fun that way.

It's true if they don't win in indy they are a fluke team that can't win games they need to win. It's that simple. Still going to the playoffs after 4 years of almost making the playoffs is great.
