    These guys that post all these glam & art metal band drummers crack me up.

    I'm sure there's some relative unknown out there that is the true king, but no one else in a widely known band can touch Carter Beauford, and I dont even like DMB that much. His style and technique are the best I've seen.

    Not to sound facetious nor uppity; but, I 'spect most any good drummer is a relative unknown in these parts.;)

    Yeah, I guess I was being kinda uppity. It's just blatantly obvious to me in this case. There may be other guys I like more, but Carter is just really, really good. And that basis of theirs is a prodigy from what Ive heard.

    yeah, Stefan was 16 when he joined DMB. He's very good now, but his style's more like the drummers I talked about up top (where I mentioned Carter first :D), that just lay down their lines knowing they have chops they're not being asked to use. In that band, he's not going to get a ton of use (though I do enjoy his solo lines on occasion).
