I noticed that Walls was inactive for the Packers 1st game, and while he did get in the 2nd game he had no catches. David Martin, a 3rd year guy from Tennessee has been the backup to Bubba Franks and has 3 catches. Is Walls hurt again or is he just not cutting it?

Packers | Martin Could See More Playing Time - from www.KFFL.com

Should Green Bay Packers TE Wesley Walls (hamstring) be sidelined with a hamstring injury, it would result in more playing time for TE David Martin.

I have a question regarding our use of the tight end. Wesley Walls was released because we weren't going to use our tight ends for much more than blocking. But, in the first two games I have found it interesting that in short passing situations, we have tried to hit the tight end with a pass. We've tried to hit them several times in the redzone including one attempt to Wiggins in the Tampa game. I was just wondering if anyone else has found it interesting that we've tried to use the tight end more this year after we release Walls. I think we could've kept Walls for less $$$ than his previous contract and used him in these situations. What do you think?

i think wiggins is just as good if not better than walls- he's washed up and he's slow. walls aint block worth shit either- mangum is better in that regard.

people expect us to throw to Walls... they DON'T expect us to throw to Mangum... that's half the reason the play has a better chance to work
