Not a lot of blitzing with the lead.

No pressure. He let Jake take the checkdowns to get down to the 10.

Nothing you can say about that last play, that was just a perfect throw on tight coverage. But he didn't change anything up.

with jake already throwing two picks and letting the ball fly when he shouldn't -- i would have pressured him the whole time.

Will anyone question him for going for two instead of one on the last touchdown?

Today's ending was reminiscent of the Quincy Carter comeback by Dallas against the Panthers last year.

Whaddayaknow, that was a JDR defense too...

Well there were a few times he blitzed, but the O-line was actually picking them up in the 2nd half. It was like an entirely different team in the 2nd half.

Del Rio doesn't change things up much, or at least didn't here. A lot of guys who swear by the cover two stay with those variations. Fox is all about disguised coverages, so that certainly wasn't on him.

Did he coach scared? I dunno if I'd say it that way - I'm sure he got his philosophies from various people, Fox included, and a lot of those guys aren't extreme, take huge chances guys. Would we have blitzed a lot? Hard to say. We tend to be conservative with a lead, too.

    No...

If he kicks the extra point, then they are up 6. So all we have to do is kick the extra point to still win by 1. He was trying to go up by 7, so we would have to decide to go for the tie or the win.

We went for two to go up by a field goal.

Both coaches made the correct calls in the situations.

Don't get me wrong, I agreed with it. Just wondering if it would be brought up.
