    not really but..........

I like the whole "under the radar" kind of scenario to sneak up on teams, but the entire Dan Patrick show today was about which teams that were near the playoffs last year will make it this year. Now I know at 7-9 we weren't close to in, but the Skins had the same record and are on the espn poll with about 7 other teams. Not once today did he mention the Panthers, and he talked Skins alot....like they had improved.

I like that last question, but the Panthers are trailing in the results (which means their success will be even more of a surprise).

How about the Skins being included in Question 9, (who'll be the biggest bust this year?) LOL! And they're trailing only Kordell in the results...:D

this is neato the panthers are totally off the radar like the dophins were in 71. This could be so much fun. It took death threats against cosell to get the dolphins on half time highlites on mnfb.

Yeah, the Panthers are off the radar. No one is noticing them. No one is talking about the Panthers win, they are talking about the Redskins loss. During last nights ESPN's coverage of the Saints-Eagles game McGuire talked about the how the Redskins "got killed" the other night. He didn't mention who killed them. Yeah, as far as us and the media are concerned we are right where we want to be, flying low and undetected.

Duh! It's due to the simple fact that Spurrier is a much more higher profile coach, led by Napolian himself (Dan Snyder) and the team expectations are much higher. This coupled with the fact they are in a weaker division make them more likely to make the playoffs with fewer wins than it will take to make the playoffs in the NFC South.

That's not an insult to the Panthers. It's more insulting to the Foreskins quite frankly.

Joe Theisman also said the Panthers were 4th last year in total D.
My guess is he didn't look at his stats too good in his ramblings. The only statement about Carolina that was made, and it was incorrect. Oh well, they'll be mentioning us before the end of the season.

Also I wonder if ESPN didn't schedule Carolina vs. Atlanta on prime time because they could kinda hype the game up as 'NFC South rivals', but at the same time grinning to themselves thinking they were gonna be able to allow viewers to witness the King Vick hour (thinking he's gonna put on the best show of the year).
    God, I hope not.

Of course, the only reason this game is on during prime time is to show case Michael Vick. Period. And, if you're going to showcase a particular player, you're certainly going to put him up against an opponent you think he's going to have success against. After all, Atlanta did blow us out twice last year. This move is marketing 101.

    That was my point.
I just hope it showcases our D shutting king Vick down instead.;)
