Both of you sre right. The Metallica thing was probably 7 years back while the Seattle thing (actually I think it was Vancouver) happened last year. Axl wouldn't go on. Prima donna. Heres hoping as the old bandmates are together minus Axl, that they find an singer to take his place. Besides Izzy wrote the better of the songs by GnR

They're calling themselves Velvet Revolver, so I've heard. The singer is Scott Weiland, ex-Stone Temple Pilots, who was last month arrested on charges of 'drug possession'.

Yep. They have a song on the Hulk soundtrack. 93.3 out of Greenville played it. Sounds pretty good. I believe they may go into the studio in the fall. That is if Weiland can stay out of jail.

The RIAA counts each double album sold as two. The numbers would have been exactly the same if it had been a double rather than two singles.

Mr. Heroin himself....at least Axl kept his ass out of jail. This guy going to be doing some serious time if he doesn't sober up.

Their practices are somewhat damaged imo, NIN the fragile is definitely 2 discs and costs like $24 and is counted as a standard album by the RIAA for some reason. I don't think you're correct, I looked on their site for the accounting rules and couldn't find anything.
