Kevin Carter took a number of years to warm up but then was among the elite. Now is average for the Titans. Brown's a perennial All-Pro, Ellis was a good pass rusher who doesn't get recognition but isn't special either.

1 Ki-Jana Carter Bengals RB Penn State (Does he still play?)

I think he was a backup last year somewhere.

2 2 Tony Boselli Jaguars T USC (Solid until he fell apart)

Was bound for the HoF. Now?

3 3 Steve McNair Oilers QB Alcorn State (DUI)

Be fair here. This pick changed that franchise.

4 4 Michael Westbrook Redskins WR Colorado (has he lived up to expectations?)

No. Bust. Only one good year.

5 5 Kerry Collins Panthers QB Penn State (We know his story)
6 6 Kevin Carter Rams DE Florida (someone enlighten me here..)

Multi-year Pro Bowler, including last year.

7 7 Mike Mamula Eagles DE Boston College (same here)

    Bust.

8 8 Joey Galloway Seahawks WR Ohio State (see Westbrook)

Injury case. Actually had some fine years in Seattle, and would still be better with a real QB. He was a good pick for Seattle, they got their rookie contracts worth.

9 9 Kyle Brady Jets TE Penn State (Jet fans had it right, Richie Kotite didn't)

    yep

    10 10 J.J. Stokes 49ers WR UCLA
11 11 Derrick Alexander Vikings DE Florida State

Solid starter, but no real impact.

12 12 Warren Sapp Buccaneers DT Miami (FL) (All pro head case)

    All pro just the same.

13 13 Mark Fields Saints LB Washington State (Damn solid Panther)_

    Haslett would like him back.

    14 14 Reuben Brown Bills G Pittsburgh (???)

    Pro Bowler when healthy.

15 15 Ellis Johnson Colts DT Florida

    Undersized.

Thanks for the perspective. Now that we'll have Fields for a little while it takes the sting out of Collins not working out for us. IMO Fields was our most solid player last year on either side of the ball.
We are lucky as hell to have him! :D

Considering they traded up to get him - that Ki-Jana Carter pick is the biggest bust in draft history IMO. Considering they also lost on Dan Wilkinson (#1), Akili Smith (#3) and David Klingler (#6) no wonder the Bengals have sucked so long. Ouch. :D

I think Carter really fall under the what could have been. He offered to sign with the Bengals for less money if they would play on grass. Then tore up his knee in his first preseason game.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER TROOPS:D
