Still think we should go best player #9 (Whatever position!) and fill needs with the other picks.

Don't fuck'n pass on Leftwich please. Just don't.

You think because we picked up Ricky Proehl our receivers are good enough to pass on Andre Johnson to pick some lineman? We have a running based offense because we have very talent at QB and WR. If I remember correctly, we lost most of the games we did because we could'nt move the ball downfield and score.

WR isn't currently a need, and no, we're not an offense in desperate need of 5 top receivers. Does Johnson strike me as a long term impact better than 99% of what we could ever acquire? Yeah.
Given that Muhs is 30+, Proehl came from the time of the single bar facemask, and the other two are both inconsistent and on one year deals, chances are that we'll keep two or three of them, and it might come down to lesser of evils...who's the least bad, not who's the best. I wouldn't turn down Andre by any means. Kevin Curtis is a natural for us in 2, and later on Bobby Wade would be great to be a long term 3. We certainly could use a long term player at WR.

I don't even know why we are discussing Andre. He will never fall to 9. Unless he breaks his leg in the next 2 days.:)

Yup . . . the same can be said about Leftwich, and probably Trufant. It seems very likely that our pick at #9 will have to be a tackle . . . O or D.

I'm still praying that SOMEONE will give us at least a 3rd to trade down.

If we do anything other than take Gross or Trufant I will be surprised.

I agree. I think the key word in that first sentence is "currently." I think it's entirely possible that with the addition of good first day reciever we could be saying farewell to Moose and a lot of cap obligations in June. Personally, I'd like to see us possibly use that second fourth in combination with our third to pick up an extra second round pick and take Sam Aiken. But that's just me.
