    If you were the powers that be within the Panthers, How would you sell me into coming to this team a a freeagent.

    Rabid Fan base starting in section 108 row 10. Great facilities, and a great group of players headed in the right direction

    as an offensive player, I'd sell the ability to be a part of making a difference and immediate playing time.

    As a defensive player, I'd sell the ability to have all the support staff possible, being the D's playmaker, being part of something exciting on that side of the ball.


    As an overall prospect I'd sell the area - good weather year round, the lack of biting cold or snow comparatively to other outdoor teams, the availability of beach or mountain within easy range. I'd sell the three main areas of player home buying - Myers Park area, Matthews/South Charlotte, and the Lake.

    I'd sell the workout facilities, the stadium.

    The problem with that pitch is that all of this can also be said for Atlanta or Jacksonville as well. Plus No State Income Tax in Florida.

    Don't get me wrong, I like the area, but Mandrin, Arlington, and The Beaches are J'Ville's answer. Granted, no Mtns nearby, but that's what planes are for.

    As for Atlanta, you have Alpharetta, Buckhead, Duluth, East Cobb, Buford, Virginia-Highlands, and similar neighborhoods with the same Mountain distance. They are further from the beach however and that's what planes are for.

    But Atlanta you have to play on turf, and Jax makes you wear sissy colors... we only make you wear sissy colors once a season.

    we're not in the business of making other teams look good. At least not until the season anyway. I couldn't give less of a damn what other cities have, I know they have great communities. This is about selling Charlotte, the Panthers, and North Carolina to a free agent, not doing a Geico comparison.

    At any rate, there are a lot more ex-players retiring to the Lake than there are in Buckhead. Players have moved here, then considered playing here because they liked the area.

    Thats simple........you would have the priveledge of playing for the BEST owner in the NFL and one that would NEVER meddle with player decisions!!
