    scored over 12k on 03? I thought the marks were a quarter of whatt they used to be.

    It's a graphics test. It will push your vid card and system as high as it can go. The graphics on mine are way above what I normally have, guess I need to to do some reading on how to make the right adjustments. The opening test is worth the download alone. Its looks almost like cfs3 but with 5 times the graphics.:D

    oh yeah you must have Direct x 9, or download the older test for the 8.1.

    you were right bear, did the test again, 1290. Guess I was so excited to see it at 12 something I was still stuck on the old version.

    started playing around with overclocking my vid card now up to 3dmark 1445

    yikes. i got a measely 375 running each test 3 times and taking the average.

    i didn't think i had a bad system, either. P4 1.7 Mhz, 512 MB, 64Mb GeForce 3 ...

    It's your GF3. 3DMark03 is still a highly synthetic test, and it is designed to test DX8.1 & DX9 features your card doesnt support. Your score wont dramatically improve until you get a card from the generation that 3Dmark03 was designed to stress test.
