    I monitor a dairy plant that is run off of Allen Bradley plc's and is controlled by a MS SQL server. I write VB applications, SQL stored procedures as well as HMI's using proprietary Rockwell software to increase system throughput and make fault recovery easier.

    I also squeal like a girl nicely when the shit breaks. :)

    Yeah I figgered you were kidding :D . My position is actually just as an on-site contractor for the client who bought one of my company's systems. We are actually in the material handling automation side of the house, not so much manufacturing. But you are right about it being a dying breed. I was on-line looking for a job doin PLC and automation type shit back in NC (I'm lookin to move back home from Philly), and the pickins were damn slim.
