Mike Davis is a very good coach and a cool guy. Charlotte had Indiana down by double digits at Halton in the 2nd half this year and of course, they battled back and won. That team has heart. And even though the students (sans me, of course) were trying to get under Davis' skin the whole time he just smiled and applauded us. Cool guy.

This is what you gotta love about the tourney, though. You're only an underdog if you believe you are. I really though Boozer was going to hit that layup off the free throw (which for some reason everyone appeared shocked that williams missed).

Tough way to go out, but oh well, they've already got championships and will be millionaires, so i'm not crying for them yet.

 

Boozer got hacked too. If they had let that go in the Notre Dame game, Duke would have been sitting home watching Indiana and ND tonight!

He probably did get fouled, but you just gotta go up strong at the end of the game. They wont call it unless they have to. He did just push Jeffries outta the way like he was a cheap hooker that just doubled over from getting punched in the stomach to get that ball. Dont know why Jeffries quit with 4 secs left.

Its kinda hard to go up strong with one arm held down with two hands but its tough to make that call with 4 seconds left. I guess I am somewhat glad because the conspiracy theorists would have been out in droves had the refs made the correct call. No one can say Duke gets all the calls after that game.

I just saw the replay and it was a foul, but you don't call that in the last minute of a close game. Similarly, the foul on Duhon's steal right before that which gave IU a 4-point lead also should have not been called, but it doesn't matter b/c all Boozer had to do was tap the ball in rather than bringing it down and Duke would still be alive.....
