NFL | Police & Courts: Curtis Whitley - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
9:54 PT: The Charlotte Observer reports former Carolina Panthers C Curtis Whitley was arrested and charged this week with damage to personal property. The charges stem from an incident where Whitley reportedly urinated on the pick-up truck privately owned by the Benson Police chief Kenneth Edwards. He posted a $15,000 bail and was released Wednesday. Whitley played for the Panthers during the 1995 and 1996 seasons. He was suspended for four games in 1996 for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Whitley's previous legal troubles include breaking and entering, simple assault, and possession of stolen goods.

He's fallen a long way since that "when you say nothing at all" song came out.

That's too bad. He wasn't a bad center that first season.
