This team is powerful

Let's visit this in a couple seasons to actually see who were the "steals" of the 2026 draft.

 

The 2023 draft looks like an all time stinker now. Bryce is the only player left.

In 2024 we took Xavier Legette, who's headed towards bust territory, then Jonathan Brooks, who has yet to contribute. We also got Ja'Tavion Sanders and Chau Smith-Wade, who look like JAGs right now, and Jaden Crumedy, who is in Green Bay. The best selection of the draft was probably Michael Barrett, because we traded him for Mike Jackson.

Last year's looked like the first really good draft in a long time. TMac and Scourton will be long-time starters and I think Ransom and Mitchell will become solid players. Not sure about Umanmielen, he might only be a rotational guy, as will Jackson and Etiene. Jimmy Horn Jr. probably won't get a roster spot.

Still, we got only one starter in 2023, and in 2024 we didn't get any. I think last year's draft will eventually produce four starters, which is pretty damn good. And this year's might do the same. You have to go all the way back to 2006 to find a draft where we got four starters, and the only really good one was DeAngelo Williams.

Eric Eager is worth every penny we are paying him.
