I think the Bucs just want the season to be over. Bowles is probably out and he knows it. Calling out Baker's play publicly is a bold way to try and get him to play better.

It's going to be interesting to see how Tampa Bay approaches this game. Frankly, I do think they're "better" than the Panthers and probably more dangerous as a wild card team, but they have a lot of people pulling in different directions down there. It's been a little bit of a problem there since they paired Mayfield with Todd Bowles. Those two guys do not have the same approach to football, to put it mildly. Maybe that's finally reached critical mass. Even if they sneak past this game I can't see that marriage lasting much longer.

The Buccaneers are down to backups of backups at interior OL. That doesn't do them any favors. Baker's best play right now has been scrambling left, almost like a improv QB lead play behind Wirfs. Wonnum or whoever is over there might have the most important job this week. If you can take that bullshit away, nothing will be easy for their offense. Then, it just becomes a matter of Bryce waking up on the right side of the bed and the Panthers rediscovering some sort of a running game.

Also, as counter intuitive as it this sounds, Tampa Bay might have too many receivers right now. I don't think their coaching staff has managed that situation well. It's a little bit like when Chuba came back here and we had trouble managing the running back reps for a while, but it's exaggerated at wide receiver, where timing and nuance is so important. Right now they're trying to get everyone involved simultaneously and I don't think that's helping them.

What a mediocre division the NFC South is. Cannon fodder for the playoffs whoever wins.

    That’s using your head, Jackson.

And good Lord did the defense lose the receiver in the end zone.
