Hornets Season 25-26

He seems mature, but I don't really want to load his shoulders with a lot of expectations and pressure. I just want him to be healthy and consistent.

Melo shot under 25%

 

LaMelo is not recognizing what it takes to be a point guard. There is enough scorers on the team where his taking 20 shots or more is turning into a detriment. He took 21 shots and made 5. He had more TOs than FGs. He hasn't shot well from 3 in most games this season. He has shot at a 31% this year and only 18% in tonight's game. His assist and rebound numbers are fine, but he needs to spread it around more. The team they lost to tonight was 1-13. They should have beat this team. Team D is still a major weakness and LaMelo has always had horrible D. They have lost 4 straight and in all those game the other team all shot over 50% and even 40% or more from 3. One of the things that really grinds my gears is the drives to the basket where nobody wants to be posterized. It's not even an ole'. It's looks to be more like Moses parting the Red Sea.

If traded he'll probably go somewhere and flourish, but the team can't worry about that. He hasn't been anywhere near a floor leader since he has been in Charlotte. He is just a stat stuffing ball hog that is injured a third of the time. His maturity has seemed to have gotten worse as he has gotten older.

 

5th loss in a row for the Hornets and again the winning team shoots over 50% and over 40% from 3. It was the Clippers and they were 4-11 coming into the game.

Yep, a close game, but watching highlights and the D still sucks. Even though the Hawks didn't shoot 50% they did shoot 49.

 

The Knicks are at the Hornets tonight. Some halftime stats: the knicks are shooting at 64% 50% from 3 and 100% from the line. They have doubled the Hornets in rebounds. Those are just some of the reasons the Hornets are down by 25 at the half. It looks like they are on their way to the 7th loss in a row.
Will coach Lee make it all the way to the end of the season?

 

Well, no big 2nd half comeback. They lost by 28 at home and that is with all their "stars" playing.
All 4 rookies had significant playing time, but all were ineffective.
