    If he truly wanted to be only a Panther, then put on on practice squad, wait for injury or trade for AT, and then bring him up.
    Will give him time to get back in shape

    Yeah, I can see him on the PS, but I won't be surprised if another team claims him off waivers.

    Edit: Wait, is he eligible for waivers? Or does he go straight to free agent now?

    But if he does, I got to think cutting him was just a mind fuck by Dan to get the most for Thielen

    The scenario that would make the most sense would be for Morgan to have had an agreement with Renfrow, cut him, making AT price a bit higher. Then, bring him back to step in to the slot role. He would be a better vet for our young guys to work w than Moore in my opinion.
    Saved enough on AT contract to give Renfrow a nice salary

    per Joe Person - Panthers claimed CB Damarri Mathis from Denver, where he started 11 games in '22 when Ejiro Evero was with the Broncos. Also claimed WR Dalevon Campbell from Chargers. Campbell is big (6-4, 205) and explosive (averaged 16.8 ypc over five seasons at Illinois, Nevada and S. Car.).

    have to cut 1 now

    Another undrafted dawg... watching college highlights on Campbell, feel like Morgan tried to get him before the Chargers. He avg. 26 YPC his last year in college. He also led the Chargers in receiving in 3 preseason games, looks like they hoped to get him to the practice squad. His highlight reel is crazy.
