    - Hunter Renfrow is a nice story, but I think he's simply auditioning for other teams unless someone else gets hurt in camp. Horn Jr. shows too much upside to risk leaving him on the practice squad. Plummer makes the 53 because carrying 3 QBs is cool again, while Tremble missing a big chunk of the offseason gives an extra TE an opportunity, and James Mitchell is the most likely candidate based on experience. 9 OL might be light, especially with Corbett being a walking injury who might not even make the team, so this is the one I might change next month. They seem to like some of the UDFA OLs they've brought in over the last two years.

I'm pricing in Morgan signing one of the free agent safeties, but there's also been some rumblings about the team being in on Jalen Ramsey, which I guess makes some since. Stay tuned there. Rhattigan and Incoom are among the most experienced special teams players returning, meaning Johnson and Barno have run out of time. Wallace might be in jeopordy of getting healthy scratched multiple times if he can't win the starting job over Rozeboom. I'm also giving Cam Jackson the edge over useless Shy Tuttle (however, we need to have a conservation about a nose tackle choosing #55. I'm not a fan.)

As of now, the veteran kicker has the edge, but who the hell knows there. Maybe they both suck and Morgan caves with Pinero.

    Good talk.

Plummer will be on the Practice Squad. Not sure they only keep five defensive linemen either. Crumedy may still get a spot there.

I just don't see the attraction of Moore at WR. I'm not sure he would have a roster spot on any other team.

If the Panthers cut Moore, he'd be someone else's WR4 or WR5 pretty quickly. I'm not saying he's good, I'm just saying he's a dirty work guy, and that's exactly what the NFL looks for at that depth chart slot.

I just think Renfrow could be more productive than him.

Maybe, but Renfrow hasn't been productive in the NFL for multiple seasons. Some guys just lose it fast and never get it back.

Renfrow had one great year, then two where his production really dropped off, and then he was out of the league. Everybody seems to assume that if he comes back, we're going to get pro-bowl 2021 Renfrow and not 2022 or 2023 Renfrow, when he had trouble even seeing the field. He's also on the small side and not a burner. I think Horn has a better chance of sticking to the roster.

The Thomas Incoom vs. DJ Johnson debate is interesting to me. Incoom barely saw the field last year, while Johnson improved last year and could still be on an upward trajectory in the coaches' minds. He's not going to start, but I think Johnson holds his spot for another year.

James Mitchell is another one I'm not sure about. With how bad our defense was last year, I doubt we keep 26 on offense, I think instead we will want more depth on the other side of the ball to see if anyone emerges like Luvu did a few years ago.

Incoom has a big edge on special teams snaps, and also being an Evero guy from Denver. It's the same point I made about Renfrow vs David Moore. At that depth chart slot, coaches are more concerned with special teams/dirty work.

Incoom had 174 Special Teams snaps to Johnson's 67, but Johnson's lower number was probably at least partially due to his 393 to 39 snap advantage on defense.

And it's not like Incoom played a lot for Denver, either. He got 55 snaps there, 35 on Special Teams.

So I'm not sold on that prediction. Maybe training camp will change my mind.
