I still don't believe in Atlanta's defense. All their FA signings are long past their prime and they still have no pass rush. So Robinson is going to help slow down games for them, but do you still see them winning any shootouts?

Tampa Bay did ok with Kancey, but if Vea goes out he's going to get swallowed up by NFL offensive linemen. As long as Vea is next to him though, he should be a solid addition for them.

The Saints might have gotten lucky, or they may have wasted a pick. It all depends on whether their coaching staff can unlock Bresee's potential. If they can then he could be the steal of the first round.

And we're sure they didn't have auto correct make them think it was another Brees?

FA made their DLine look pretty bare, so Bresee was actually a good option for them. We took Shy and I can't remember the other guy that left, but Bresse was probably a good value, although his medical history is a bit worrying

When I look at all the talent in the 2nd and probably the third round, I think trade down at 39 might be a good idea. Unless we have a 1st round grade on a guy, which I doubt.

    Something like

    Trade #39 and #145

    Get #53 and #83

That is just value chart talk and I have no clue what team might be a partner, but would give us an extra pick in the 3rd, which I feel is a good area and having just one pick at end of 3rd hurts

Maybe we swap #39 with Denver for 67 and 68, plus swap 4th rounders moving us up from 145 to 139

We would have nobody in 2nd, but 2 at top of third and one at end of third

    Question from left field

Would it make sense to pick Levis if he is there at 39? What do we have behind Young? Use him as a trade chip later or even next year?

Downs will be available around 50 I think, if we want to trade down.

The depth is at CB, TE and Edge this year,

Ringo, Cam Smith and Porter are all good CB's
Several Edge guys, not as good as the ones at very end of Round 1, are available
TE's, all but 1 are available.

Staying at 39, value is at CB or TE
Moving down a bit opens up more opportunities

Drew Sanders might have some interest as he can play all the 4's in a 34 defense. Inside and outside. Our guys might like that versatility

D Jeremiah said he had 10 TE's with grades of 1st to 3rd round. So a deep class. Only one picked so far

We also have a roster full so maybe they wait on end of third pick for that, who knows.
