say they pick AR . .. then they would have to plan on red rifle starting and being their guy for the entire 2023 season. Does anyone see Richardson as an immediate starter like Young and Stroud?
Carolina staff would have to be really cock-sure of themselves to develop what would probably be the most raw pick at #1 overall in the modern history of the draft
That might be the biggest gamble in a long history of draft gambles

would reinforce the belief that dumass tepper would see himself as smarter than those he has hired and is comfy with vetoing absolutely anything . . . If that is truly the case the panthers are absolutely screwed

As much as "size matters" for quarterbacks, I'm leaning towards Bryce Young. He's just so quick in good decision making and getting rid of the ball. Not knocking Stroud but Young is the better QB to me. I'll be fine with either one.

Maybe Davis saying we will be surprised because we are gonna take Anderson after we trade down with Houston while picking up their next year 1st rounder?

Haha, just joking, but that would make Kipers head explode on live television

Just morbid curiosity, but would his helmet made of hair contain the blast?

How much has Wilson been injured from contact. I know he is thicker than young but they both have (wilson HAD) that 6th sense and slipperiness. IF young could stay healthy then I'd be ok with him too. I really think it has little to do with 5' 10" and a lot to do with his slight frame. BUT IF young feels pressure and avoids hits . ... unlikely he would ever have designed runs, and he can be well trained to slide. )

Stroud seems like the safest prospect this year. He's got an unbelievable arm, the requisite size, and a floor high enough to start right away. Young is the next guy up, even more ready than Stroud to step in on day one. His size scares everyone, although he's been able to survive against SEC defensive ends and while they get bigger in the NFL, so will he. He weighed in at 204, after drinking a gallon of water I'm sure, but is seriously in spitting distance of Drew Brees as far as size is concerned and Brees had a decent career.

Levis is just not a consideration at the top selection. He should have left his shirt on at his pro day and saved it for when it could have made a difference.

If AR is the pick, it can only mean that Tepper has decided that the league was better when Al Davis was alive and is trying to take on the mantle of craziest owner.

Young can drink all the water possible but his frame will never be as thick and durable as wilson's. Brees is the most realistic comparison IMO and if he is drew brees smart (and drew brees lucky!) then he might last longer than many of us are thinking

Brees had that torn labrum wake-up call after a few years in the league. I'm sure Young will have one too. One thing he's already great at is evading hits, and getting the ball out quick when he decides to throw. Brees was really good at getting the ball out before the sack arrived, so they may have that in common. We're just gonna have to find out.

I still think Stroud is the safer pick, but either will lead us to 10+ wins next year.
