Every 3 to 5 years a team drafts a QB #1 overall and he does not justify that pick.

    '02 - carr

    '07 - russell

    '10 - bradford

    '15 - winston

    '18 - mayfield

Bradford would have if not for injuries. And you're just too pessimistic for this time of year. :)

yeah I'm afraid Young "would have if not for injuries" too. I hate it for both of them (if so) but it's tragic to extreme for kids with their talent and passion for the sport to not be able to keep competing at the highest level

He's right there in the Drew Brees/Fran Tarkenton/Russell Wilson size range. I wouldn't count him out yet.

Height wise yes but Bryce doesn't gave the body mass or "thickness" (insert joke here) that Wilson or Murray have

yeah but I think I'd rather have lil' Young than ol' russell or prima donna murray. )

Look at all these weaknesses listed on NFL.com from Murray's pre draft player bio -

    • Just one season as full-time starter and leader of the team
    • Requires diversity-of-game experience for NFL chess matches
    • Had 8 touchdowns and 7 interceptions before final season
    • Short with smallish frame
    • Concerns over durability due to size and playing style
    • Needs to implement more open-field slides when finishing runs
    • Could struggle to see and throw over defenders from the pocket
    • Defaults to low arm-angle throws unnecessarily
    • Will leave feet behind when scanning and throwing
    • Needs better eye discipline to avoid stare-down scenarios
    • Too willing to challenge into double coverage
    • Mechanical inconsistencies can cause throws to sail
    • Needs to prove he can throw on time to the middle of the field

Here are Bryce Young's weaknesses from NFL.com bio

    • Weighed in at 204 pounds at the NFL Scouting Combine; since 2003, no QB who weighed fewer than 207 pounds at the combine has been drafted in Round 1.
    • Durability will be a concern due to slight frame.
    • Has a tendency to run receivers up against the boundary.
    • Leaves his lower half behind on drive throws at times.
    • Needs to prove he can find reads quickly and stay on schedule.
    • Deep throws come out flat and lose energy late.
    • Doesn’t run as often as he could to counter the rush and pick up first downs.

Okay he is probably legitimately about 7 pounds frailer than murray and brees when they came out. . .. should that really be listed along with "durability concern"?
Young already "reads quickly" and "off the charts processor" would indicate #5 is not a weakness that should be attached to him.
#7 is actually a strength if you are concerned about durability.
So by my count young has FOUR legit concerns, as compared to about a DOZEN with murray

With his size and play style, Young literally getting killed on an NFL field is an actual concern of mine. Whomever drafts him will have to build a great offensive line and then coach the street ball bullshit out of him.

Unless it's the same writer or group of writers that came up with those lists then it all becomes subjective.
Different people are going to see the same things in a different way.
I've never seen Young play in a game or have I watched any Young games video.
I can also say the same thing for Stroud.
I have watched some highlights, but no highlights or video are going behind the eyes and into the brains of these young men.
I would definitely want to see if I could talk to their classroom teachers and professors.
I'd care if they were honest to goodness game film fanatics
