1). CEDRIC TILLMAN - Big, physical and very competitive NFL caliber WR. Has all the tools to "eventually" be a possible #1 WR in a Spread offense. Skill set to win against press. Playing speed is better than 40 time but probably not be the field stretcher Reich and Co ideally want. More of a possession receiver?
Was hampered by ankle injury final season. Should be drafted by mid 40s to mid 50s
2). MARVIN MIMS JR. - Highly competitive and productive proven talent. Plays bigger than 5'10" 180. Can be explosive and is a legitimate deep threat. Like Tillman he is a willing and effective blocker, and a team player. More of a #2 WR due to lack of reach and natural ability to contest catches at the next level. Shifty when running after the catch and an experienced punt returner. Should be drafted by mid to late 50s
3). TYLER SCOTT - Limited size and strength but should develop into a solid #2 WR for a Spread offense. Fast and twitchy talent that can take the top off of a defense. Might be best bang for buck "field stretcher" in this WR class. Former RB who is dangerous with the ball in his hands (NFL caliber kick returner?). His slight frame will cause him to drop in the draft and he might be too frail not to be a injury concern. Should be drafted in the 80 to 90s range.
4). RAHIM JARRETT - Should probably be rated higher. Decent size, strong, fast, high football IQ. Tough to bring down after catch. Quick and fast enough on field of play. Was once clocked at 22.9 mph! Very competitive, can get off the LOS vs press. Needs NFL coaching on getting separation and catching with extended hands instead of trapping the ball against body. Should be drafted by 90 to 100 range.
5). ANDREI IOSIVAS - More of a FAST track athlete than twitchy WR but has elite physical gifts that could eventually be very valuable in the NFL. Ivy leaguer who projects to NFL wideout with the blazing in line speed that would stretch any defense. Big catch radius and very strong hands make him a potential red zone threat. Needs NFL level tutoring on getting off the LOS and gaining separation. Based on raw tools alone could definitely be gone by mid 4th (like the fuckin' Falcons at #114)
6). JONATHAN MINGO - Could be the WR steal of the draft. Big, strong, tough and potentially dominant. Can make contested catches and is hard to bring down. Needs NFL coaching on "high pointing" and using his huge frame to broaden catch radius. Though he does not have field stretching speed he could present a legit red zone threat and be a valuable addition. Should be picked in similar range to Iosivas and be gone by mid 4th.

Looked back over the past 4 years at WRs taken in each draft.

    '19 - 13 WRs picked by #93 overall
    '20 - 16 " "
    '21 - 14 " "
    '22 - 15 " "

Though this years class doesn't have the amazing top end star talent of the past few years it seems pretty deep with potential solid starter quality WRs. Look at any 2023 WR prospect list and cross off the first 14 or 15 WRs. At #93 i feel confident that the carolina war room will still have a couple of good fits at WR high enough on their list to add an effective weapon.

If things work out, we will have an outstanding WR room. Chark and Marshall are tall receivers with speed and both like working on the outside. Thielen is that slot guy who just catches everything thrown his way. Smith is a little utility player who can sneak up on you for a few catches a game. And Hurst will be Mr. Outlet for our young QB.

What's more likely is Chark plays in 10-12 games, Marshall fails to take the next step, and Thielen shows his age. Hurst should be ok, but he can't carry the offense by himself. Smith will be utterly forgettable like he was last year.

A whole lot rests on Thomas Brown, Parks Frazier, and Shawn Jefferson this year. If we field a solid passing game as part of a top offense, all of those guys are going to get poached by teams looking for an upgrade.

Probably right about smith. That arrest a year ago was a big red flag. I bet they will draft a similar quick/speedy receiver to groom and return punts
