Who is optimistic about signing Hurst? He's pretty much the definition of 'someone is going to catch passes at tight end' we used to call those guys Jeff King and wished for a real TE around here.

Also fun fact King is probably going to be GM someday.

I like Hurst, I like the way he plays. Good pick up. Prob the 3rd best TE to ever play for the Panthers

plus we're definitely adding TE in the draft, deep pool this year. Love that kid out of ND, but would prob take moves to get to him

The ND kid was everyones favorite for most of the year. Then the evaluations took place and film and all and now he is probably the 2nd guy on the list. He is a big Wesley Walls type. Makes touch catches with guys all over him. But I guess it depends on what we are looking for with our offense.

Kincaid and him are now vying for top billing.

But with Hurst on board, along with our 3 other TE's, I figure we might go for something we don't have in house like speed or height

I am hoping for a really good guy at the end of the 3rd round. Laporta, Musgrave, Mallory, or Kraft.

You never know however, our guys might pull the trigger at the top of the 2nd for a TE but I doubt we want to move up and give up another draft pick.

Looks like Theilan left without signing. KC has big interest in him.

Probably win a Super Bowl there before he does w Panthers.

Oh well, back to the drawing board on WR's

    Status

QB Got Bridge and will draft high. Better
    RB Same
    TE Better
    OL Same(which is good)
    WR Lost WR1. Worse

DL Better, got another pc that can play 34 or 43
    LB Same
    CB Same
S Better w Vonn, not sure what we do with Chinn, maybe LB

Overall, a much better team, but glaring holes at WR. Not much out there in FA and draft is pretty weak.

Or there's so many contradictory stories out there that nobody knows.

Some probably leaked by the brass for various reasons.
