    Combine above with :

Fantasy football has made the injury reports for every player newsworthy not just stars

Sports science has improved they realized that minor injuries you can play through have long term effects

It's slightly more difficult now to get the needle and play pain free.

Maybe the money is so good players are fine with half assing it once they get that sweet cash. Sammy Watkins certainly has a system.

All reasonable explanations. I think, in the case of CMC, it has something to do with his lack of BMI...and overuse. Adding a little body fat MIGHT help diminish the frequency of injuries.

Making the info public as it now was a way to avoid team doctors getting offers they can't refuse.

Might be a hip after the next game he plays.
By the end of the season he might be in concussion protocol.

He will retire within two years if he continues to be used like a classic RB

I remember reading something a while back, probably late 90’s, that the average NFL runnng back had a 3 year career. So long McCaffery, been good to know ya! Should have played end like your dad.

He's tough. Played really well today. Hope he gets the right coach one day while he's still a beast
