Clowney peaked at South Carolina verses Michigan. He keeps signing 1 year deals

Now, what can we get in a trade for Rhule?
And take Anderson’s bony ass with you, coach.

Clowney's a solid DE, but he's not a sack guy. He's still living off of his college highlights.

I like it. The offensive coaching staff is still grab bag of animal feces, but the roster has everything you want from a playoff contender. Upgrading at quarterback and OL should, at the very least, make the team bearable to watch.

Clowney had 9 sacks last season and 9 sacks a couple of seasons in Hou when healthy
When he's paired with a badass on the other side he IS a sack guy

When I think "sack guy" I think of someone who gets double digits in a 17 game season. Clowney's had 41 in an eight year career, last year's numbers didn't suddenly make him into a top 20 pass rusher in the league.

You drunk? I don't see any upgrade at QB. Carolina staff loves first overall picks with F'd up shoulders. That torn labrum will always bother Mayfield. I know it's his non throwing shoulder but he went from a top 10 QBR to 27th of 31 qualifying QBs. .. so yes that was better than sam but please. I like Baker as a gritty dude and commercial personality, but he is no significant upgrade as an NFL QB

Being tied for 20th with guys like Chris Jones and Brian Burns is enough to make him a "sack guy" threat. .. especially on opening day when a shitty pass blocking line will already be struggling and focusing on "a sack guy" on the other side. Shit I bet clowney will get more pressure on whoever our QB is than garrett that day
