When I start doing my draft stuff after the frauds and posers have shat out their round 1 takes, I'll focus more on the rest of the picks. I just think the QB selection is so obvious that it's not even worth analyzing the other choices. They'll take their favorite QB at #6 and hope it works out.

So is Corral not even worth a thought anymore?

Sure. I was just factoring in Rhule's proclivity for local guys and guys he either coached or tried to recruit. I'd bet Corral is 3rd on their QB board right now.

If he 3rd on their board that would tell me to move him to QB 1 on mine.

I'm hoping for a trade back to 10-14. Recoup a 2nd and draft a top 3 ot or the Iowa center.

Any current backups at qb you could stomach or us it darnold due to his contract

The top three OTs will be gone before the tenth pick. But let's assume we did try and trade down. What does the landscape look like?

Start wtih the Jest, who are picking at 10. Odds are if there's someone they want badly enough to move from 10 to six they will probably take him at four.

Washington is sitting at 11. I've already mentioned that they could move up with a package that includes their third round pick. They need a QB, a RB, and a Safety. Ron would have to be drunk to trade up for a RB in this draft, but there's an outside chance that Kyle Hamilton would be available at six (a VERY outside chance), and he would be worth the move. As far as QB, it's possible that he wants to get ahead of Atlanta to grab Corral or Pickett, assuming we don't take them.

At 12 you have Minnesota. They need defensive help, particularly at Cornerback. Defensive Tackle and an OLB are also something they could use, but the only position this draft where a trade makes sense would be at CB, and then only if Stingley slips to seven. Even then, no one between us really needs a CB so they could watch the slide. If they did pull the trigger, we would probably have to throw in our fourth, but we would get their first and second rounders in exchange (12 and 46).

At 13 the Browns are picking, and they need an edge rusher, an inside linebacker, and an offensive tackle. How much noise would our fan base make if we traded with them and they selected one of Neal, Cross, or Ekwonu? Since there isn't a Linebacker good enough to trade up for in this draft, and given that the top edge rushers will be gone, this is probably not going to happen.

Next up is Baltimore at 14. They need help on the edge as well, and at Cornerback. They could also use help on the offensive line, but as with the Browns that won't cause a trade. I can see them leapfrogging Minnesota for a shot at Stingley, and that would net us their second rounder (45), with some third day pick juggling to make the value work. I actually like this possibility.

Three of the next five picks are the Eagles, and I don't think they will be looking to trade up this year. The Chargers needs kind of overlap with ours (lots of OL) so that's not likely either, and the Saints are a division rival so that won't happen.

Then you get to Pittsburgh at 20, and that's interesting to me. They need a QB in the worst kind of way. CB and WR are also needs, but they're not trading all the way from 20 to six to get a player at a skill position. They may, however, consider that big a jump for Kenny Pickett. That trade would probably cost them their first three picks this year and next year's third rounder. It would also make Fitterer the GM of the year in my book, because this is a deep draft and day one and two picks are all going to make an impact, even if there isn't a ton of star power this year.

Of course, a ton of stuff will change by draft day, but this is how I see things right now. I look forward to Free Agency and the changes it will bring.

Philly has needs at all levels of the defense and they could use another WR. They also have three first round picks at 15, 16, and 19. So while they could move up to pretty much wherever they want, they could instead stand pat and get three impact players next year. Given that there don't seem to be too many generational talents this year, but lots of good players I think that having quantity in the first round beats the high pick.

Look at it this way. If you were the Eagles, would you rather have a Stingley/Hamilton or Garrett Wilson, one of McDuffie/Beavers/Gardner, and maybe Lloyd or Ojabo? That's one starter vs. three, which seems like a no-brainer.

Rumors that the DE from Oregon might drop a bit. If he is there at 6, Philly might jump. Someone will drop, possibly. With as much ammo as they have in later rounds, I see them using it to move up into the top 10 with one of their picks
