Darnold is six games into a reclamation project. He had some good moments today, despite a shitty line, the drops, and an OC who really looks lost sometimes.

Renovating quarterbacks is not the point of an NFL season. You understand that, right?

Open question here not arguing with you cj: where do we draw the line at success on said project? Improvement over bridgewater? Tannehill/cousins level? The bottom of the second tier qbs? (Arizona palmer being a good reference here)

I'd call tannehill the minimum tricky part is sam's coming up on a contract.

Of course, but when you roster a player with the clear intent of coaching them up, it's not realistic to expect greatness overnight.

Better than replacement I think. Based on the fourth quarter today, I think he's already an improvement over Teddy. If he stays in the bottom tier, I expect the staff to look for options to improve. We should be doing that for every position but offensive line.

    That's insane.

Bridgewater isn't special, but he's clearly a better quarterback than Sam Darnold by all measures.

Bridgewater is the finished product of what Darnold could theoretically be. That's Darnold's ceiling. The Panthers went backwards.

The line is terrible. Period. It won’t matter who plays QB. The line is simply poor. Paradis stinks, and platooning guard’s doesn’t even qualify as a “band aid”.

In fairness to Darnold, the receivers were lousy. The defensive line gives 140 to Cook. Thompson is sorely missed.

I don’t want to hear another word about speed at receiver. These fucks have damn near zero separation.

You can have Brady. Situationally, he is bush league.

Tepper, don’t pay your next coach a zillion bucks based on a feeling, you imbecile.
