He was a camp body trying to make a name for himself. He would have been thrown out of a real game had it happened in a real game. He will be a bouncer in a Florida strip joint in September. No loss

Always believed that players need to practice “all in”.
I remember Ditka once going off after somebody got injured in camp (can’t remember who).
He said, “If you practice soft then you’ll play soft”. I hope Rhule is not planing on “soft”.
I think it’s also often true that when you’re overly concerned about getting hurt (or someone else getting hurt) that’s when bad shit happens.

What initially hooked many of us into being Carolina fans was that hard-hitting smothering defensive philosophy. Capers got the best out of his D, and guys like Lathon, Greene, Sam, and an Eric Davis lead secondary would just fucking dominate. Remember when we talked about how national interest to watch panthers games was low in large part because there wasn’t much scoring? That early defense was stingy as hell. In Capers 4 seasons the opponent was held to 20 points or less 40 times!
Then Fox carried on with the initial nasty defensive philosophy.
This year Snow has to utilize a more talented squad to orchestrate more than just a few good games (against 3 shitty teams). If they can keep opponents to 20 or less in at least 9 games that will equal PLAYOFFS. Bring the heat dammit!!!

I have no doubt our defense will be better. I think the offensive line will be more or less the same, given how injuries made it inconsistent last year. To me, it's all about whether Darnold can be an effective game manager with flashes of great play. If he turns into an interception machine, we win 5 games again. If he doesn't, and actually uses CMC a lot as an outlet, we're above .500.

This year is when we actually get to see if Rhule is worth a damn.

His rehab of the Cardinals and Carson Palmer was impressive in hindsight. I'd put him somewhere in the Coughlin range. He's been a better head coach than I thought he'd be.
