Sure, he missed 22 last year as we all did. But it's not like Davis didn't play well.

I figured out why we got Darnold. After being behind the Jets line he’ll feel like he has all day to throw here

Since the trade I've watched a good deal of highlights on Darnold. From what I've read on scouting, you look for flashes because if a player can do it once, they can do it again. And Darnold has flash after flash after flash--at times he looks amazing. I see the Stafford comparison, but I also see a lot of Brett Favre. He also makes some dumb mistakes, often resulting in a turnover, and on so many plays his supporting cast just isn't there.

Clearly Rhule thinks he can coach the mistakes out of his game, and Fitterer is going to make an effort to surround him with playmakers. He may have a rough first year, but by 2022 we are going to have a good line. If his attitude is as good as Rhule said it was, and Darnold does prove coachable, we will end up with a hell of a good Quarterback in a few years.

I'm really looking forward to the opener.

This season will be make or break for my panther patronage . ..
I have some family and friends who have been long suffering Browns fans and they are getting pumped for Cleveland after last season and a solid offseason. The browns could be my "change of heart" new team if this season does not get Carolina on track.

Back to the teddy thing. With the limited practice times and such what with the covid thing, maybe the 2020 panthers spent a good portion of their offensive practices just trying to get to the red zone. Maybe they didn't feel they needed to practice teddy holding onto the ball or throwing to the right guy in the rz as much.

Seems to me, there was a lot of stuff they needed to spend their offensive practice time on. But there was only so much time to do it all.

The donkos have talent and pashun on defense and they will be tough on that side of the ball but they let a couple of players go that were the heart of their offense. Lock and teddy are passionless non-leaders. The closest thing they have to a real firebrand on offense is a 3rd round rookie guard. That offense is going to struggle. .. with or without the tedster
