Tonight. But first game has us hosting the Jets. Hoping Darnold and Anderson shit down their throats

Right now I'm thinking 7-10, but I do see a possibility where we get nine or even ten wins. A lot depends on how our rookies do, and how quickly they acclimate to the NFL.

The difficulty level of that schedule gradually increases as the season progresses, so avoiding injuries early is just as critical as winning early.

Micool and CJ are probably close. You could argue that Carolina is already a fringe playoff contender considering how many 2020 losses were close, but this is likely a gap year between rebuilding and contending. The offensive line is too sketchy, and there's too many unanswerables, like if Darnold will be worth a fuck, or if high picks like Moore, Brown and Burns can jump from solid starters to elite difference makers - and then you have to hope McCaffrey isn't already a depreciating asset.

The good news is that I expect New Orleans to regress, while Atlanta appears committed to a rebuild. If nothing else, the Panthers will win a few more division games in 2021.

This is my preliminary projection after looking at all of the NFC South schedules:

    Overall W/L (Division W/L)

    1)Tampa____11-6 (4-2)
    2) NOLA _____9-8 (3-3)
    3) Carolina___8-9 (3-3)
    4) Atlanta___5-12 (1-5)

I would be happy enough with that, especially if Darnold looks good.
