Interesting. If what he said is accurate then I can agree with his criticism. More practice SHOULD be allocated for the most critical times in a football game.

28th in red zone percentage an aspiring playoff team has to do better

Feels like the panthers haven't been good in the rz without huge advantages like cam running or healthy 2008 talent but I haven't researched it

Ever since the embarrassment of the Teddy goal line fumble and return, where he admitted he went against the coaches, I have viewed that play as the bell cow for showing how the season went. Close, but no cigar kind of season.

Maybe they need to spend more time on red zone and clock management, but in the space of 2-3 minutes he went from "We didn't practice it" to "We spent Friday going over the plays and Saturday we practiced them some, but maybe 15 reps". I believe that he is kind of exaggerating there to make a point. It's fair for the coaches to assume the players know the plays, and they go through the game plan on Friday to make sure the players are ready for the ones to be called. Saturday they do a walk through, to make sure that everyone's on the same page. Teddy can bitch that they don't go through the plays enough, but I imagine that they've already run each one 100 times through all the practices to date.

How much ownership did Teddy take there?

Well he did admit that coach told everyone to not extend the ball unless it a 4th down situation.
So he did fall on that sword.

Right now I'm probably the last person in the world who would white knight for David Tepper, but Teddy is just a being a motherfucking bitch. The team gave him more money than justified, hired a coveted assistant to run a scheme he was familiar with, signed one of the top free agent WRs, and handed him the starting job with no competition despite the fact that he hadn't been a starting quarterback since 2016. I would say the Panthers gave him literally every opportunity to be successful.

And yet the interviewer asserted Teddy "wasn't treat fairly." I'll take that unfair treatment any day.
