Jones is almost as big as Brady, and he has a very quick release. He's also very decisive, and doesn't spend a lot of time in the pocket waiting for someone to come open. It helps to have Smith and Waddle, of course, but he's better at processing than Tua was. The more I think about him, the more I wouldn't mind him being the selection, but only if we've traded down and he's still available when we do pick.

yeah I could get on board with that. Looking at him you’re right, he could still fill out being so young. He definitely seems quick minded and smart and it would be fantastic to finally have an abundance of that at QB

Mac would probably be like Brady and Manning as far as getting rid of the ball quickly when pressure comes. This is not always a bad thing. Mahomes types come along seldom and when a guy sees the pocket collapsing, it is seldom that they turn in a Mahomes like escape. Better to dump it and not take the loss

    Lance is a lottery ticket.

Mac Jones may not be a franchise quarterback, but he's clearly a 10+ year starter of the Flacco/Dalton vintage. You could do worse. Ideally you'd trade back and get him later.

Probably the best assessment of Jones yet. Although I think that's his floor.

Brady is the wild card for me.

I don't expect him to be here but one more season, so Rhule will have to have a big hand in what QB is going to be here long after Brady and his offense have hit the road. Will Rhule see the offense as a long term or something that goes when Brady goes. He has to be thinking HIS QB and not Bradys at this point. What system does Rhule want long term?
