Belichick was a bit of a clown before Tom Brady showed up.

Brian Burns hurt again? Kind of fragile?

We gave pep weeks off too and I never heard anyone here complaining about Julius Peppers putting up 0s in the stat line.

Brian Burns didn't play at Chapel Hill either and he hasn't earned any off time.
I believe if you'll check back there are plenty of posts here talking about Peppers lack of motor and want to when he took games off.
When he took games off he still garnered double teams so his being on the field was still a positive.

yup, i am one of a small handful here who would corroborate with dig on the Peppers thing .. . but the injury issue is hard to chastise anyone for. When is it YOUR fault for injury problems? I guess it could be poor conditioning, or coaching, or reckless play, etc etc, shit like that could be argued. However none of that is a player just deciding to hold back or pace himself or just flat out surrender mid-play.
Sorry but I’d take a JJ Watt over a Julius Peppers any day.

I thought people might have moved on and we could maybe poke a little fun at ourselves over the hysteria. I'm well aware that Peppers was getting a lot of criticism back then.
