I have heard about the Chargers expressing interest, but I don't think many of these talking heads really appreciate the fallout that will come if Cam gets traded. Not gonna happen.

I think they'd do fine with Tyrod Taylor, who's one of those quarterbacks who never gets the benefit of the doubt despite throwing 51 touchdowns to 16 interceptions as Buffalo's starter from 2015-17.

You must deal with a different fanbase than I deal with. This market clapped like robots when we dumped Steve Smith, Josh Norman, and Thomas Davis. Plus with Cam, there's actually some reasonable doubt about his health. It gives the team a built in excuse that they didn't have with other iconic players.

Big difference between getting cut and getting traded.

Well yeah. You get something in return in a trade. Why do you think the backlash would be larger with a trade?

Because it would be the FO admitting he has value. With Norman, he wasn't worth the contract. Everyone else we just cut and let them go prove that they could still play elsewhere.

There was no backlash when Hurney traded Kris Jenkins, and our fans spent the next three years insisting that Gary Barnidge was the next hot shit.

CAM SHOULD BE HAPPY THE TEAM TRADED HIM HE WON'T PLAY LONG ENOUGH TO REAP THE BENEFITS OF TANKING. IT'S WIN WIN

You'll see this in comment sections everywhere the day he's traded.

Also, a good chunk of people in Cam jerseys are not actually Panther fans. I know this for a fact being at training camp every year. He's like a team within the team, and they'll go wherever he goes. What you'll be left with are the exact kind of homer scenarios P99 is laying out.
