Yeah, but you need to take his age and experience into consideration. He's going to get better, he already has since the first couple of games. He's got room for a lot of growing still. What great QB out there was great at 23? Most of them start showing their true potential in their mid '20s. Let him keep developing, because he's clearly got something going on.

yep. that was a fucking rough game. the fact that we even stayed in it is a credit to allen and the team. one of the most hostile environments- 2 weeks in a row. these were 2 games that we’d have had a tough time winning with Cam. Allen is 5-2. i love how he hits guys in stride.

Not downplaying anything. All qbs make mistakes and have turnovers.

Especially undrafted guys in their 2nd year who've started only 8 games.

If he becomes the backup, I'd dang sure be confident in him playing and winning. I'd also consider him being one of the best backups in the game right now. And top 20 qb starters.

We've done a helluva lot worse most every year since B-Line was the backup.

they were. The fumble is inexcusable no matter the experience level. That’s pop Warner shit. And happened at a point in the game where we had their defense on their heels. Total unforced error that gave them much needed confidence and momentum.

the pick to me was a young player who got greedy in the heat of the moment. Still, a big moment in the game. We drive it down into the RZ and come away with nothing. When our defense is getting gashed on the ground, those things can’t happen.

Just get three on each of those drives and the game completely changes.

I am encouraged by his play. I’d still rather have a healthy Cam Newton, even if the salary difference is about $19 million.

How does anyone know if you`re getting a healthy Cam?
It`s already proven that you can`t take Cam`s word for it.
19 mil is an extremely expensive maybe.

Actually, you can’t take anyone’s word for it. His injuries have been so poorly managed by everyone, including him.

he is, however, ‘only’ 30. So as a fan of this team I’ll remain optimistic, while at the same time prepared that he never takes another snap here.

    That's true for most quarterbacks.

They've had injury issues but yeah. The offensive line has, imo been a priority. We will be drafting in our usual 12-19 spot, who should I look at going forward?
