It was nice watching us knock you guys out of the playoffs the last time we played.

They have played twice since that playoff game. Both of which Carolina kicked that ass pretty good. I would want to forget those two games as well if I were a 49ers fan.

"The league's top-scoring offense from a year ago returned to form Sunday. Cam Newton threw for 353 yards and four touchdowns, and the Panthers overcame four turnovers to beat the San Francisco 49ers 46-27 in their home opener. The Panthers racked up 529 yards on offense."

"SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Cam Newton threw a pair of touchdown passes following San Francisco turnovers and the Carolina defense shut down Kyle Shanahan's offense in his coaching debut as the Panthers beat the 49ers 23-3 Sunday."

    Sometimes here, sometimes there
It's going to be very pleasant to have Allen, the backup, hand them their first loss this year.

Maybe, but you're all fools in your arrogance. I hadn't realized that we had played twice since that playoff game.

I think it'll be a good game. I think we'll be favored and rightfully so. I think we'll win. I think there are concerning matchup issues for both teams. My gut tells me it comes down to one simple thing...your cross country trip. Last important game you played there was the SB, and that was disastrous. For us, we are two games up in the division and pretty banged up. Hopefully we won't be complacent.

I'll do a better break down later in the week.

So, your position is this game comes down to the stadium in which they’re playing?

Or are you saying it’s because of the mileage they have to log? Keep in mind, they’ve already won an international game this year.

Not even busting your balls. I do think it’ll be a close game as well.

Is London further than SC? Who was it against? Was it against an undefeated team? It matters.

Not sure, but cross country trips typically play a big factor in games. I think the teams are similar in many ways. Hard to call, but I think we'll win. Both teams are really good.

I think you’re right, but in general cross country trips favor the team in the earlier time zone. I think this is going to be a defense of slugfest, and if you get good Kyle Allen we may pull it out. But if you get the Kyle Allen that can’t hold on to the ball, that’s going to be the difference.
