Its reported he was there answering questions for 9 minutes.

Cam is a spoiled, egotistical crybaby. Many pro athletes fit this description. If Jerry paid me 2 million per year I’d show up for press conferences, stand for the Anthem and jack him off on the corner of Trade & Tryon.

 

I'm torn over Cam's behavior. I hated the media many years before Donald Trump made it fashionable. This is 100% verifiable on TBR. I have a long history of being outspoken on this. So on one hand, it's really nice to see an athlete who just walks away from these low IQ questions. I think player press conferences are outdated in the age of social media, and even before then, they never really had a purpose. You don't get anything from a player press conference that changes the paradigm of football. It's just writers getting words so they can fill out an article. It's a stupid, monotonous waste of everyone's time - at best. At worst, you have the dubious assholes who make a career off of asking "gotcha" questions. These press conferences are sort of like the national anthem, in the sense that players don't need to be involved in either.


On the other hand, I really wish Cam would just answer the god damn questions like a professional and move on.

 

Every employee has job requirements and duties. Everybody at one time or another has to do things they don’t like for one reason or another. Many pro athletes behave like little bitches. End of story.

 

I agree, but all of this basically just amounts to Cam being bad at public speaking. I wish he was better at it. Maybe he should go back to Auburn next summer and take public speaking. It's much harder than the average person realizes, though. I've had to do it recently. You have a movie in your head about how it's going to go, and it rarely matches what actually happens. I think he tries too hard to be Cool Cam instead of just giving answers. That's my critique of Cam at the podium. He's a warrior on the field, and a class act off of it. By all accounts, he's an excellent team mate. The media uses him as click bate. He's a name that generates clicks and likes, and they need those to stay relevant.

 

Funny when Marshawn Lynch does it its funny, But cam does it not so much.

 

With Marshawn it's what people expect, which is why there's no serious blowback. This is a fair criticism of Cam - he's up and down. That's what I think he rubs so many people the wrong way. It's like when Marco Rubio started being a dick towards the end of the primaries. It doesn't wash. People are turned off by inconsistent behavior.

 

Much like gronkowsi gets away with being an idiot twerking unsuspecting female reporters and getting away with it. Cam says it's funny and he loses endorsements
