2016 was such a strange, surreal year in so many ways. It felt like the die was cast when we released Norman, and that was about this time last year. It just seemed like such a pointless season. If we got lucky, we could have gone 8-8. Shitty. This year, I'm really excited. It could very well go sideways, especially if Kalil doesn't pan out and Cam doesn't improve, but even that is exciting and stimulating. It beats feeling dead inside. The burden of 2016 has been lifted. We're free to roam again.

I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement that only a free man can feel. A free man at the start of a long journey, who's conclusion is uncertain. I hope we can make it to the playoffs. I hope to see Roger Goodell on a podium and shake his hand. I hope a Super Bowl parade in Charlotte is as amazing as it has been in my dreams. I hope.

I'm pleased with how free agency went. I'm holding my breath about the draft.

I felt more optimistic even after the super bowl loss. After seeing the offense devolve into almost unwatchable I don't have a ton of faith. We have no speed on offense. We lost our best wr.
It'll be nice seeing what peppers brings to the table. Excited to have Luke back.

Charles Johnson12 could potentially fill the deep threat role. The key will be how Cam recovers from shoulder surgery and how he plays.

Yeah, he might not even make the team. I was just pointing him out as a theoretical "deep threat" for the offense. I think we're hoping Shepard will be a better version of Cotchery.

Whats the down side to signing Victor Cruz at this point? It would be a cheap, one year deal at best

Gettleman was just doing an old friend a solid by hosting him for a visit. Victor Cruz has nothing left to offer as an NFL wide receiver.
