IT would asking a lot of Shula. He doesn't get the credit he should as an inside the tackle rb. He did a lot of it successfully at Stanford. 8 is rich, but think about his roles: rb with 10-12 rushes a game, slot wr he'd be an instant upgrade, and kr/pr now that Ginn has gone. It would take someone creative and not sure we have that. Seems like we are destined to draft a plodder to replace stew

He's so dynamic that I wouldn't mind taking him and hoping Shula can somehow figure it out, but 8 is too soon and he'll be gone by 40 in all likelihood.

If you are going to talk offensive evolution, then OJ Howard could let you do some really badass matchup kind of things with he and Olsen on the field at once.

I think this is a pretty realistic representation of how I see the first 7 picks falling ..

I think I would wait til the 3rd to get the RB. I think there's going to be some good players left then, like Foreman and Perine.

I'd settle for weapons that actually catch the ball and get separation

see McCaffrey...not at 8, but he does several things well. Of course, it takes an OC with a philosophy outside the early '80's.

That moron who runs the Huddle seems to believe WR is not a need anymore. It's still one of our most glaring.

My mind will inevitably change a hundred times leading up to late April, but right now, I think I'm on the Davis kick.

I really doubt that WR is on the table unless one of Benjamin or Funchess is moved. Assuming that doesn't happen, I think he takes a speed guy in the middle rounds but does not consider one at #8 or #40. I wouldn't disagree with that either, as I don't see Davis or Williams being impactful in this offense with Cam's inaccuracy.

I disagree. Ginn was his favorite WR target and let's be real, Ginn sucks. Cam favors guys that he can lob it up to, and that's actually a strength of his. Cam throws a goddamn nice long ball, you just wish he could do that on intermediate stuff. He and Smitty had a real nice connection for a couple of years there. For me, John Ross is a nice fit for exactly that reason. I still don't think he's as good a prospect as Davis, but Davis doesn't have that deep speed that Ross has.

That being said, I have a strong feeling Howard is the pick right now, unless someone drops like Adams or Allen.
