I think the frustration that people feel comes from the fact that it's a very low percentage passing offense. It's almost always deep routes. Under Shula the Panthers have completed less than 60% of their passes, which is really awful by modern NFL standards. Obviously, this isn't all the fault of the coordinator. Cam is inaccurate and our receivers have bad hands, but when you live by the deep pass and the running game, eventually teams are going to stop one or the other (or both).

Shula has gotten better at dialing up screens and shorter passes, and misdirection stuff to throw teams off, but the problem is that he seems to do it in the middle of the game when it doesn't really matter. Our four minute and two minute offenses are probably the most predicable in the league.

Shula seems to have a low football IQ and is horrible at making adjustments. Earlier in the season he was SLOW getting plays in which caused us to burn timeouts (which probably cost is at least one win).
