Short didn't have an impact but the Broncos made an effort to counter him whenever he was in, so I'm sure that had a lot to do with it. The OL was fine aside from a couple slips like Ware eating up Oher and Norwell forgetting to block his man for absolutely no reason, but a lot of that was due to eliminating the seven step drops. Shula had obviously been telling Cam to get the ball out quickly. Losing by one to the reigning Super Bowl champion on the road is nothing to be ashamed of, yet for some reason this one really felt like a punch in the gut. A 30 point shit on San Francisco would make me feel a lot better.

Agreesome, I think the reason it felt like a punch in the gut is we shoulda won had the kicker simply done what he gets paid to do.
