He does have tiny ears and I have said he's part Scottish Fold (cat breed) because they have tiny folded ears and because I have one - Fold not Cam.

    Yeah very disappointing read. Disheartening.

Me personally, I would want the type of team that even though you know what we are going to do, now you have to stop it. But you can't. I think we thought we were that. Wishful thinking, if so.

I am gonna tell what worried me a lot, was Rivera very soon after the NFCCG saying the coaches were talking about new plans, plays, etc, he said no, be who we are. Something about that was troubling at the time, I think we saw some of the result of it.

It's not that the Broncos were a 'pretend' good defense. Or a media-made anomaly. They were/are definitely a great defense. Better than anything we faced all season and a 3-4 to boot, which has always given us problems because we aren't used to that scheme. They shut down the vaunted Tom B and made him look like a rank amateur. Who else has done that to that extent?

Sure it's great to be so damn good you can force your will on folks and tell them first even what you're gonna do. But we aren't that. Closer than we've ever been? Maybe. But not all that and even if so, you can still get beat then even. I expected some new looks and some plans to counter what we all say them do two weeks ago. Never saw it. Was amazed. In a bad way.

Wisdom would dictate you best have a wrinkle or two and some new looks to counter shit if you find the need. And we found it. Especially after their D scored a TD after it was obvious they got consistent pressure, easily. All we needed to do was be a little more creative and have some counter measures and score one more TD on offense earlier and the game woulda been much different. Of course the mistakes were costly. About half were self-inflicted. Credit their D as well.

So we came out and were what we were. And we lost to the #1 D, as all the stats have shown that happening from the beginning of football.

They read their press clippings, were obviously over confident and didn't do shit on offense.

Just think if their offense had of been world beaters. It woulda been an embarrassing blowout.

Credit our D for playing well to keep it close after all the turnovers and punts, even though their offense wasn't all that.

If I were Rivera, I'd be having some serious discussions with the OC and STC about now.

Winning masked a lot of faults that can be, and were, exposed terribly twice this year. Unfortunately once was in the biggest game we've had in over a decade. They must have forgotten about the last Atlanta game, where they basically did the same thing in many respects, with lesser talent.

Didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. The Panther fans have known this for a while. Truth be told, Denver's D wasn't as all world as they're being advertised. Cam had a bad game, made worse by drops and uncharacteristic jitters.

Had the fumble not happened and had the receivers caught a few of those drops we are winning and walk out with a victory and we bash Manning and his complete inability to drive the offense.

We chalk up a sloppy win to jitters and wonder aloud about a dynasty.

We almost won - even though it was a total meltdown, and Shula had no answers, instead defiantly sticking to his formula.

We've known this about this clown for some time....

Honestly if Cotchery didn't have a horrible game and if we didn't get screwed by officiating, the narrative would be completely different right now.

They had a great defense. They tortured Brady. Nobody is calling McDaniels an idiot for letting Miller destroy Volllmer all game.

The OL coach was pointedly sacrificed, I think the very next day. Which, I mean, you watch the Pats' strategy which gets your QB torn a new one, and don't learn anything from it? WTF.

And yes even with all that happened, it was still our game to win in the 4th quarter. But I never seriously thought we would.

Me neither. I never felt the same belief I had felt all year. After Gano missed the FG I knew we were dicked.

I do think Shula is awful btw. It's just funny how the perception is completely altered by just a couple of plays.
