We offered him $7/year in the offseason and he turned it down. Smart move. The ceiling for elite CB's in $14m avg annual range (Revis, Peterson, Sherman and Joe Haden) and then a big drop off to Byron Maxwell (10.5m) Jimmy Smith (10.2m) Brandon Carr (10m) Leon Hall (9.75) Sam Shields (9.75) Talib (9.5) and Brandon Flowers (9.1).

Of course a lot more goes into contracts than avg annual amounts like length and guaranteed money, but wonder what you guys think Norman is worth in that context...

Well, we're gonna have to pay, considering the rest of the secondary, sans Coleman, ain't really great.

It's clear that I wonder about that. I mean, we obviously know we need to pay if he was offered 7 million. I don't know how much higher fatass will agree to go, I am thinking not a lot and then Norman has shown to have a very high opinion of himself. Wondering if the two can meet in the middle. I see more old washed up fucks, street FAs, and 4th rounders incoming, with the real money spent on DL.

He'll be tagged this spring. What happpens next is anyone's guess. It's sort of like the Hardy situation, hopefully without the woman beating hiccup.

Seems like there should be some sort of bonus for correctly drafting a "diamond on the rough" better than the current tagging options... some sort of cap exemption.

Throw in some horses for him. Although since horseback riding is the most dangerous sport, maybe they shouldn't let him. Like any horse rider would agree to that. What my dr doesn't know won't upset him.
