    After reading this, it did make me think more about the idea that cutting Smitty and Dlo was moreso about creating a culture of competition - and being the asshole coming in woke everyone up to the reality that "family" means more than just being here...it means working together toward a goal of excellence.

    I agree. Watching Shady McCoy being a pouty baby against the Eagles makes me appreciate the fact that we have good people. It does seem to matter. A lot of teams try to buy a playoff team and it almost always fails. The people never work together for a common goal.

    Dave Gettleman does deserve a lot of credit for this. You'll never talk me out of that

    To be clear I don't think Gettleman deserves the credit for 13-0. He deserves credit for hiring the right kind of people.

    The people who want to give Gettleman credit have to hide behind the record or some vague bullshit about the culture, they can't point to specific things Gettleman has done well besides Short and Coleman.

    The Gettlemagic shit is just ignorant. Those people should look up some of his quotes on Byron Bell and Nate Chandler after he forced Gross out.

    No one is so bad they don't do some right things. Look at Hurney for God's sake. He should get credit for what he has done good. People can debate what that is, some think getting Oher was great, some think he was another clueless excuse to not proactively address the position.
